The Wisconsin Brown Swiss Association held its 92nd Annual Meeting last month at the Park Plaza Hotel in Baraboo. The day started off with a roundtable discussion on “Advertising”. Guest panelists were Les and Jo Olson, Minnesota Brown Swiss breeders; Sarah Schmidt, Holstein World; and Kari Stanek, Accelerated Genetics.

- Protein Award to 3X Producer - Elm Park Farms, Sheboygan Falls, Protein 957 pounds

The Service Award was presented to Barb Lee of DeForest.
The 2008 Brown Swiss Queen was Stephanie Lemay, the daughter of Mark and Tammy Lemay of Brookfield.
Kelly Lee, Johnson Creek was the 2008 Achievement/Scholarship winner.
The Junior members presented their Parent Adult Leader Award to Dieter Bradley of DeForest. Dieter also received the retiring President’s plaque.
Adult officers elected are: Tony Senn, president, Fox Lake; Richard Thompson, vice president, Darlington; Barb Muenzenberger, secretary/treasurer, Coon Valley.
The junior officers elected are: Kelly Lee, president, daughter of Grant and Katie DeBruin, Johnson Creek; Darci O’Brien, vice president, daughter of Allen and Michele O’Brien, Steuben; and Jill Cowles, secretary, daughter of Dave and Cheryl Cowles, Roberts.
